What is Cyberinfrastructure?
Cyberinfrastructure is a collective term to describe the technologies that will promote the next generation of scientific discovery including virtual organizations and collaborations, data repositories, federated services, data-driven systems (observations/modelling), grid computing, and more. Cyberinfrastructure is an increasing priority within the initiatives of many funding agencies.
